Annual increase to federal contractor minimum wage announced

Minimum wages are set to increase January 1.

Federal contractors covered by Executive Order 13658 should take note that the minimum wage for covered employees will increase from $10.35 to $10.60. The minimum wage for tipped employees will increase from $7.25 to $7.40.

This minimum wage requirement does not apply to all federal contractors, but only those who have contracts covered by the Service Contract Act or the Davis-Bacon Act, or who meet other specifications. For questions about coverage, please see our prior bulletin.
